Cameras & Lenses
- Sony A7IV: My primary camera body. I love Sony for its super-fast, reliable autofocus. The built-in animal-specific eye detection is amazing as a dog photographer.
- Sigma D Art II 24-70mm: The most versatile lens. I use this one 95% of the time, and if I'm only carrying one lens, it's always this one.
Lighting
- Westcott FJ400: This is my primary key light. I use a strobe (fancy term for flash) to capture high-speed actions like treat-catching shots.
- 60" Octa Softbox: I use this with my key light, and I find the 60" size is perfect for creating soft, diffused light while covering a larger area, since dogs tend to move around more than people. 60" Octa
- Universal Flash Trigger: This mounts to the camera and communicates wirelessly with the strobe light to trigger the flash.
